Environment Pollution Paragraph
Environment pollution is a growing crisis in the modern world.

By: Haque | Class 6 | 12-12-’23

Environment pollution is a big problem that affects our planet. It happens when harmful substances, such as chemicals and waste, are released into the air, water and soil. This can harm plants, animals and people, and make our world a dangerous place to live in.

An example of environmental pollution is plastic litter in the ocean. This is harmful to marine life, such as fish and birds, as they can mistake it for food and get sick. Another example is air pollution from factories and cars, which can cause respiratory problems for humans.

We can reduce environmental pollution using reusable bags and containers, and turning off lights and electronics when not in use. Also, we can try to make others realize the importance of taking care of our planet.

Our habitable planet is only one for now. It is important to take action to keep it good. So, let’s keep our environment clean and healthy!

Environment Pollution Essay, 450 Words

By: Haque | Class 9, 10, 11, 12/SSC, HSC | 15-12-’23

Introduction: Environment pollution has become a major concern in the modern world. Environment means surroundings where one lives. Environment pollution refers to the pollution of the elements of the environment. Environment pollution has different facets such as water pollution, air pollution, sound pollution, etc.

Air Pollution: Air is the most important element of the environment. No living thing can survive without air. We inhale air and take oxygen for living. Polluted air can be very harmful. People can develop different diseases and illnesses by inhaling contaminated air. Air can be polluted in different ways. The main thing responsible for air pollution is smoke. We create smoke by burning wood, gasoline, coal, etc. In villages, people burn wood for cooking and create smoke. In towns, mills and factories burn coal and oil. Vehicles like cars, buses, trucks, etc. burn gas, diesel, and patrol. These activities create a huge amount of smoke. Moreover, many mills and factories emit toxic and hazardous fumes and chemicals into the atmosphere. As a result, the air gets polluted.

Water Pollution: Water is another important element of the environment. Clean water is safe and essential for sustaining life. Polluted water is harmful and can cause different diseases. Water can be contaminated in different ways. Mills and factories throw chemical waste in lakes, rivers, seas, oceans, etc., and pollute water. Launch, steamers, boats, and ships ply on canals, rivers, seas, and oceans. They throw human and other waste materials into water and pollute it. In cities and villages latrines, drains and sewerage lines connected with canals and rivers pollute water. Farmers use fertilizers and insecticides in their fields. These chemical fertilizers and insecticides get mixed with water and pollute it. In some severe cases in different cities of the world, even thousands of people have died due to water pollution by deadly chemicals. Moreover, in oceans, seas, and other bodies of water, many dead areas have been created due to pollution. In those areas, no living thing can sustain life. So, it is necessary for us to stop water pollution.

Sound Pollution: Sound pollution is caused by excessively high sound. Sound pollution occurs especially in big cities and industrial areas where many big mills and factories operate. Moreover, buses trucks, and other vehicles use the hydraulic horn and cause sound pollution. Living in continuous sound pollution reduces our listening power significantly. It also causes insomnia, irritation, and many other troubles in our life.

Conclusion: For healthy living, we need a good and pollution-free environment. So it is essential for us to take measures to stop environment pollution and ensure a healthy environment.

Essay on Environmental Pollution: Causes, Effects and Remedies

By: Haque | Words: 650 | 20-12-’23

Introduction:

A pure environment is important for healthy living. We get air, water, soil, and food from the environment. It is not possible to survive without them. But as a result of industrialization and modernization, our environment is getting polluted day by day. Environmental pollution has endangered the livelihoods of mankind, plants, and animals. As a result, various diseases are spreading. So, everyone should be aware of the causes of environmental pollution and ways to prevent it.

Causes of Environmental Pollution:

There are many causes of environmental pollution. Almost all the elements of the environment are being polluted in various ways. Air pollution is caused by the emission of toxic gases and fumes from vehicles, factories, fuel-based power plants, brick kilns, and the burning of garbage. Water pollution is occurring as a result of the disposal of industrial waste in rivers and canals. Soil fertility is declining due to overuse of chemical fertilizers and pesticides, then these are being washed away by rainwater from farmland into rivers. Noise pollution is caused by the uncontrolled use of car horns, mics, and loudspeakers.

Remedies for Environmental Pollution:

If we do not keep our environment healthy, then day by day various diseases will continue to spread more terribly and it will become difficult for us to survive. So, pollution must either be stopped, or reduced as much as possible. The following efforts can be made to solve the problem of environmental pollution:

  • New factories have to be set up away from human habitation and old ones have to be gradually shifted away.
  • Technology needs to be developed so that vehicles do not emit harmful fumes and do not sound annoying horns.
  • Deforestation should be stopped and trees should be planted at a higher rate.
  • To keep the river-water free from pollution, dumping of factory waste in the river should be prohibited.
  • The use of solar energy should be increased by gradually reducing the use of fossil fuels.
  • Emphasis should be placed on the use of organic fertilizers instead of chemical fertilizers in the land and the production and application of pesticides that are not harmful to the environment and public health.

Negative Effects of Environmental pollution:

Environmental pollution is having a devastating effect on the lives of both humans and other animals. Diseases are increasing day by day, people are suffering from various chronic and incurable diseases. Polluted air has made life extremely difficult, especially in densely populated cities. Aquatic flora and fauna are under threat of extinction due to contamination of water by mixing waste, oil, and pesticides.

Global warming is increasing as a result of the continuous burning of fossil fuels and nuclear tests. It has endangered the future of mankind on earth. This is because if the average temperature continues to rise, the melting of the polar ice will increase and the sea level will rise. As a result, many islands could be completely and some partially submerged.

The use of chemicals and pesticides in fields is not only reducing soil fertility but also contaminating rivers and even groundwater.

Noise pollution caused by vehicle horns and mics has a negative effect on human hearing. It can cause deafness, fatigue, and nerve damage.

Scientists fear that we are now living in an era of mass extinction due to man-made environmental pollution.

Conclusion:

In fact, environmental pollution is a threat to our very existence. That is why there is no alternative to taking effective measures to prevent it. Hopefully, world leaders have become aware of this. They are meeting every year at the International Climate Conference with all the countries of the world. The government of each country is adopting a national afforestation program. The public is being encouraged to plant trees through television and newspapers. The expectation is that we, the people of the world, will be able to restore the normal balance of the environment before it is too late.

Environment Pollution Essay, 250 Words

By: Haque | Class 11-12/HSC | 28-12-’23

Environment pollution refers to the polluting of basic elements of the environment such as soil, water and air. Environment pollution is mainly due to two kind of reasons. One is the natural causes, such as storms, floods, droughts, wildfires, earthquakes, etc. The second reasons are man-made, that is, the way we humans emit water pollution, air pollution, noise pollution and radiation for various needs. We can’t stop the natural causes of environmental pollution, but we can overcome its damage. However, the man-made causes of environment pollution can be completely controlled if we try.

Industrial wastes, toxic gases from vehicles and black smoke are polluting the air. The amount of carbon dioxide in the air is increasing due to the burning of fossil fuels. Rivers, canals and sea water are being polluted by mixing industrial wastes, chemicals used in crop lands, oil, polythene, plastics etc. Soil pollution is increasing due to unplanned urbanization, dumping of garbage, use of toxic chemicals etc. Noise pollution is caused by hydraulic horns of cars, excessive use of mics, loud noises of factory machinery etc. Thus environmental pollution has now become a terrible problem.

Pollution levels are particularly high in third world countries. It is changing the climate of the world. Global temperatures are constantly rising due to the greenhouse effect. Chronic diseases are on the rise. In short, the world’s environment is under threat today due to pollution. So we all have to play a responsible role in protecting the environment.
