Introduction: The prize-giving ceremony of our school is a day of joy for us. the prize-giving ceremony of our school was held on 10th February.

Decoration: We decorated our school building with green leaves and flowers. We also made a colorful gate and stage. We decorated them with colorful paper. On the stage, chairs were arranged to sit on.

Guest Present: The headmaster presided over the function. Many gentlemen and guardians of the students were present. The TNO was the chief guest.

Description of Distribution of Prizes: The function began with a recitation from the Holy Quran. The national anthem was sung by a group of boys. The president hoisted the national flag. Two boys garlanded the chief guest. Then Headmaster read out the annual report of the school. Then there were the recitation and songs by the students.

Then came the distribution of the prize. The headmaster called the names of the prize winners. They went to the chief guest one by one. The prize winners received prizes and shook hands with him. The gentlemen and other students cheered them. Then the chief guest made a short speech and gave us some good advice. The function came to an end at 5 p.m.

Conclusion: It was a day of joy for us. It encourages us to make progress in our studies and other activities. I shall remember our annual prize-giving ceremony for many days.

Introduction: Every year the prize distribution day in our school is observed after the annual examination and the announcement of the result. Usually, it is held in the month of February when the new classes start. The ceremony follows the annual sports competition and cultural competition of the school.

Prizes: In the ceremony students occupying the first, second, and third positions in the last annual examination are rewarded. Moreover, the winners of the sports competitions and cultural competitions are also rewarded in the ceremony. There are also some special prizes such as rewards for good character, good behavior, cleanliness, good handwriting, attendance, courage, etc are also awarded.



Description of the Ceremony: As usual, this year’s annual prize-giving ceremony of our school was also held in the month of February. The function took place in the field of the school. For this purpose, a big dais was made on the south side of the field. A big canopy was also raised overhead. Some chairs and tables were arranged on the dais for the very special guests in a decorative way. There were also many chairs in front of the dais for the students and guardians to sit.

The preparation for the program started early in the morning though the actual program started at about 2 p.m. Our English teacher Mr. Fazlul Haque conducted the program as the anchor. Gradually the headmaster, the chief guest, special guest, and other important guests arrived at the place of the program. We greeted them. They got on the stage and took their seats. The headmaster presided over the program. Then the ceremony began with recitation from the Quran and the Gita. The headmaster gave the inaugural speech and the assistant headmaster gave an account of the students’ performances in different fields. Then the chief guest and the special guest delivered short speeches. The headmaster thanked all the guests. Then prizes were awarded by the Chief Guest to the students for good results in the last annual examination and their performances in the sports and cultural competitions. I received two prizes. One was for standing second in the Annual Examination and the other was for winning the debate competition. I also received my prizes from the chief guest.

When the prize-giving was over, a cultural function was held. The function started with the singing of the national anthem in chorus. Then a student recited a poem from our national poet. It was followed by a song and a joke. The joke made everybody laugh. Then some other students sang songs and recited poems one after another. The last part of the function was a short drama. It was staged by the students. Most of the actors and actresses performed well well. Everyone enjoyed the play very much. It was almost midnight when the function was over.

Conclusion: The prize-giving ceremony is always a grand affair in our school. It provides us with fun and entertainment. It is also a source of inspiration for us.
